Welcome to Tradies4me. By accessing or using our website at tradies4me.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Tradies4me is a search directory that helps New Zealanders find local tradespeople. We aggregate publicly available business information from Google Maps and other sources. We are not a contracting or employment agency and do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any tradie listed on the platform.

2. Use of the Service

You may use Tradies4me for personal, non-commercial purposes to search for tradespeople. You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the website
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the website's operation or security
• Impersonate another person or business
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content

3. Verified Tradie accounts

Tradies may register for a Verified account for a monthly or annual subscription fee. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful business information
• Maintain a valid payment method on file
• Comply with all applicable New Zealand laws, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

4. Listings and information accuracy

Tradies4me displays business information sourced from Google Maps and other publicly available data. While we make reasonable efforts to present accurate information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing, rating, review, or contact detail displayed on the platform.

Ratings and reviews shown are sourced from Google and reflect the opinions of third parties. Tradies4me does not independently verify reviews.

5. NZBN Register data

Certain business verification information displayed on Tradies4me is sourced from the New Zealand Business Number (NZBN) Register, administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE). This data is accessed via MBIE’s application program interfaces under the terms of the MBIE API Access Agreement.

NZBN data displayed on the platform (including business names, NZBN numbers, and verification status) remains the intellectual property of the New Zealand Government and/or MBIE. You may not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, or republish NZBN-sourced data from this platform for commercial purposes
• Use NZBN data obtained through Tradies4me in any manner that is contrary to the Privacy Act 2020 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation
• Present NZBN-sourced data in a misleading or deceptive way

The “NZBN Confirmed” tag on a business listing indicates that the tradie has provided an NZBN number that has been verified against the NZBN Register. It confirms the existence of a registered business entity but does not constitute an endorsement of the business by MBIE or Tradies4me.

6. No endorsement or guarantee

The inclusion of a tradie on Tradies4me does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of their work quality, reliability, licensing, or qualifications. You are solely responsible for verifying a tradie's credentials, insurance, and suitability before engaging their services.

The "Verified" badge indicates that a tradie has registered and paid for a subscription. It does not imply any additional vetting, certification, or quality assurance by Tradies4me.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Tradies4me and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Any loss or damage arising from engaging a tradie found through the Service
• Inaccurate or outdated business information
• Service interruptions or unavailability
• Unauthorised access to your account

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be lawfully excluded.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, logos, and software on Tradies4me are the property of Tradies4me or its licensors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use your personal information.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, tradies, or the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
